Frisco police are investigating an armed robbery that took place in the parking lot of the Frisco Athletic Center on the evening of June 29 involving juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD.
Officers were called to the scene at about 8 p.m., but the suspects had already fled in a blue and white Ford Bronco before police arrived, according to a news release issued by the Frisco Police Department.
Investigators traced the Bronco to a nearby resident and later found the vehicle at a fast-food restaurant located a few miles from the athletic center. Officers spoke with individuals connected to the Bronco and determined that the person carrying the handgun was not present at that location.
Detectives and school resource officers assisted with the preliminary investigation, which identified the individuals involved as juveniles enrolled in Frisco ISD, the department said. Police stated that all parties identified in the incident will be held accountable for their actions.
