For those North Texans who had to scrape ice off their windshields before driving to work this morning, you already know it is getting cold, but expect rain to get added to the mix later this week.
Kicking off the workweek with temperatures in the 30s, experts expect Monday’s high to only reach the low 50s and evening temperatures to settle back into the mid-30s with mostly cloudy skies.
Winds from the north, clocked at 5-10 mph, will offer just enough bite to make it feel like the start of winter.

As we approach Thursday, it is important to be aware that heavy rainfall is expected in parts of the North Texas region, with a 50% chance of rain in the DFW area, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
Thursday may also bring in some strong storms, so be cautious and stay informed about the weather updates, especially if you’re going to be driving, per CBS News Texas. The temperature is expected to range from a high in the mid-60s to a low of around 53.
Friday will be dry with highs in the mid-50s; however, the potential for showers returns on Saturday, with a 30% chance of rain in the morning. The week’s forecast wraps up with Sunday’s anticipated high being 64 and low 48.
