The much-hyped fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson at Arlington’s AT&T Stadium wasn’t without its share of drama outside the ring.

Police made nine arrests during the event, which drew a staggering 70,000 fans on Friday night, reported Fox 4 KDFW.

Four individuals were detained for public intoxication, marking the most common offense of the evening.

Authorities also apprehended one person each for illegal gambling and solicitation of prostitution.

The crowd’s enthusiasm escalated into trouble when arrests for criminal trespass and harassment of a public servant were made. Another individual was taken into custody for resisting arrest.

Despite the arrests, the fight went on as planned. Paul, the YouTuber turned boxer, defeated Tyson by unanimous decision, solidifying his unconventional rise in the sport.

The arrests highlight law enforcement’s challenges at massive events like these, where passion and celebration sometimes boil over into misconduct.

For the Arlington Police Department, it was as much a fight outside the ring as what was happening inside.
