The Cattle Baron Ball is moving back to Southfork Ranch in 2022. Texas’ biggest party will be on September 17 and headlined by superstar Country band Old Dominion and then multi-platinum recording artist Chris Young will perform at the VIP Party.

The Cattle Baron Ball was previously held at Gilley’s Dallas, but with the Ball returning to its Southfork roots, the look and feel of this year’s theme will be unmatched. Ball chairs Nancy Gopez and Kris Johnson selected this year’s theme, “Lasso A Cure.”

For forty-eight years, the Cattle Baron Ball has benefited the American Cancer Society and is the world’s biggest one-night fundraiser for the organization. Since 1974 $89 million has been raised for cancer research, and over forty-thousand patients have been able to receive care thanks to attendees of the Cattle Baron Ball. For a second year, Texas Oncology will be presenting sponsor.

“Such profound generosity, such as the lead taken by Texas Oncology, contributes to revolutionizing cancer research in fields such as immunotherapy and breast cancer,” said Johnson.

He’s known for hits such as “The Man I Want to Be,” “Gettin’ You Home,” and “Drowning.”

For those who like to get on the golf course, the annual Cattle Baron Golf Tournament will be held on May 2 at the TPC Course at the Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas at Las Colinas.

Over $260,000 was raised for cancer research during last year’s inaugural golf tournament.

Other annual features of the Cattle Baron Ball include a silent and live auction with prizes worth up to $58,500.
