With two restaurants in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, Birdcall is planning to open a third in McKinney, according to a state filing.

The Denver-based company has stores in Frisco and Carrollton. Construction on the 2,663-square-foot space at U.S. 380 and Lake Forest Drive is expected to be completed by June. The estimated construction cost of the project is $1.5 million, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation filing shows. MRP Design Group of Kennesaw, Georgia, is the design firm listed on the filing.

The 100% all-natural chicken restaurant opened its first location in Colorado in 2016 with “a new kind of dining experience — enhanced through a blend of all-natural foods, superior hospitality and service, innovative art and design, and cutting-edge technology,” according to its website. The restaurant is “constantly changing and innovating our technology to make natural foods more affordable to create a better dining experience for our guests and team members.”

Its menu includes burgers such as Spicy SzechYuan, Deluxe, Southern, Rancher, Nashville Hot, Buffalo, Grilled Chicken Caesar, Meati, and Nashville Deluxe. A range of chicken tender options is also offered, as are a number of salads, nuggets, and sides.

“Our chicken comes direct from Colorado family farms, our bread is produced at a Colorado baking company, and our spices are developed by a Denver spice firm,” according to the company website.

“We pride ourselves on our relationships with local vendors for the freshest ingredients. Our chef-inspired menu features dishes garnished with ingredients like bacon red onion jam, buttermilk herb mayo, and peanut slaw. We’re building a company that we are proud of and that our team members can be proud of.”

Birdcall’s other 10 restaurants are in cities throughout Colorado and Arizona.
