Billy Bob’s Texas, a popular tourist attraction in Fort Worth Stockyards since 1981, has completed extensive renovations to improve sound quality and allow the public to see shows throughout the event space.

The view of the stage was expanded by removing two poles from the center of the venue, and the soundboard was relocated to enhance sound quality.

“We are thrilled to unveil these exciting renovations, which represent a significant investment in enhancing the overall guest experience at Billy Bob’s,” said Amanda Banda, the marketing director for Billy Bob’s Texas, per WFAA.

Billy Bob’s Texas is located in a building built in 1910 and “was once an open-air barn used to house prize cattle for the Fort Worth Stock Show,” per its website. On April 1, 1981, Billy Bob’s Texas would gain national attention after officially opening its entertainment center with 100,000 square feet, over 30 bar stations, Pro Bull Riding, a Texas-size dance floor, and celebrity county music singers.

“For over 42 years, Billy Bob’s has hosted the biggest stars in country music and classic rock from Alabama to ZZ Top. Billy Bob’s has been named ‘Country Music Club of the Year’ 12 times by the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association,” continues the website.

“Our goal is to create an environment where every guest feels fully immersed in the magic of live music, and these enhancements bring us one step closer to realizing that vision,” said Banda, according to WFAA.
