(Texas Scorecard) – The Republican Party of Texas has announced that U.S. Rep. Beth Van Duyne will serve as Victory Chair for the party’s efforts ahead of the November election.

The party stated that their Victory effort will “provide critical support in the final 60 days of the campaign to ensure President Donald J. Trump, Senator Ted Cruz, and all Republicans down the ballot are elected.”

“The reckless policies of Kamala Harris and Colin Allred are being felt by Texans daily, with recent polls showing 77% of Texans struggling with the cost of groceries,” said RPT Chairman Abraham George. “I am excited to have Congresswoman Van Duyne lead our strong Republican ticket to victory this November.”

Before being elected to Congress in 2020, Van Duyne served in the Trump administration as part of the Department of Housing and Urban Development and previously held office as Mayor of Irving.

“In just a few short years, the Biden-Harris Administration, supported by Leftists like Colin Allred, has done immense damage to our nation’s economy, national security, and God-given liberties. Our working and middle-class families have been severely impacted by rampant inflation, harmful regulations, and open-border policies that have empowered Mexican cartels and endangered our communities with a surge of criminal aliens,” said Van Duyne.

“This is our time to stand up, fight back, and re-elect President Trump and Senator Cruz so we can return to policies that protect our nation, grow our economy, and deliver greater prosperity for all families.”

Van Duyne replaces Alexandra Mealer, who stepped down from the position earlier this year after being appointed to the Houston METRO board.

She follows State Sen. Brandon Creighton (R-Conroe), who led the Victory effort in 2022.
