Many kids are on break from school, anticipating the start of summer, but are stuck indoors thanks to frequent spring showers in the metroplex.

This week we started with a series of rainy days, with a flash flood warning issued in numerous cities, including Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Terrell, on Wednesday morning.

Skies are expected to clear by mid-morning on Wednesday despite the humidity lingering just below an average of 70%. Once the morning rain dissipates, cloud cover will linger with a high of 92° and a low of 71°, according to the National Weather Channel.

The chance of rain on Thursday will be relatively low, at around 6%, with a high temperature of 95° and a low of 74°. Friday’s temperatures will be similar, with an expected high of 94° and a low of 76°. The chance of rain on Friday will increase to 15%.

Saturday may shape up to be the best day for the kids to take to the pool, as temperatures will rise to 95° and the clouds will part for a full day of sunshine. The low is anticipated to be 76°, and the chance of rain is currently 10%.

However, Sunday will bring a 36% chance of rain, making it the most likely day for rain to return this week. Cloud coverage will be heavy, with a high of 91° and a low of 73°.

The forecast indicates rain from Sunday into Monday, with a 50% higher likelihood of precipitation to kick-off next week.
