The first Back-to-School immunization clinics were held on last week by Tarrant County Public Health and will continue to the end of August, according to a press release.

The Back-to-School immunization clinics have all recommended and required vaccinations available for children returning to school for the 2022-2023 academic year.

The county recommends that parents and guardians bring their kids’ vaccination records if they have them.

Costs of immunizations for children aged 0 to 18 are $8 per injection, and the Adult Safety Net vaccine is $15 per shot for individuals aged 19 and over without insurance.

All payments must be made in cash, checks, or through taxpayer-funded programs like CHIP or Medicaid. Families with private insurance should make an appointment with their health care provider to get vaccines, according to the release.

Additionally, COVID-19 vaccinations will be provided at no cost to individuals six months of age and older during the Back-to-School immunization clinics. It is not a required vaccination for school attendance in Tarrant County.
