Several establishments across Dallas-Fort Worth will be open this Fourth of July to offer last-minute supplies and dining options.

Although many services and offices, including post offices and banks, will be closed for the national holiday, North Texans can count on many grocery stores and restaurants to maintain their regular business hours.

Here are some DFW grocery stores that will be open on Thursday:

  • Central Market
  • Fiesta Mart
  • H-E-B
  • Kroger
  • Sam’s Club
  • Sprouts
  • Target
  • Tom Thumb/Albertsons
  • Walmart

Costco will be closed all day, and some other grocery chains will have modified hours. For instance, Aldi will be closing at 4 p.m., Trader Joe’s will close at 5 p.m., and Whole Foods will close at 6 p.m.

Although many people might stay home and prepare their own cookout spreads this Thursday, as reported in The Dallas Express, there are various ways to celebrate the Fourth of July in DFW. From the July Jubilee in Denton to Red, White, and You in Garland, many of the events are free. Others, such as the Independence Day Family Weekend at the Dallas Arboretum for $5, involve entry fees.

Anyone looking to swing by a coffee shop on their way to an Independence Day celebration can count on a few local favorites, such as Starbucks, Dunkin’, and Dutch Bros, which will be open all day.

Those looking to avoid cooking during this heat wave can consider dining at one of the many eateries expected to be open on the Fourth of July:

  • Braum’s
  • Dickey’s BBQ Pit
  • Jason’s Deli
  • Luby’s
  • Whataburger

Nick Snider, the general manager of EatZi’s Market & Bakery in Fort Worth, told DX that while the Fort Worth and Grapevine locations will be closed for the holiday, several Dallas locations will remain open with modified hours.

To avoid disappointment, it is recommended that you call any establishment to verify that it is open before heading there.
