Las Vegas-based Hooper Hospitality Concepts is launching two new restaurants in the Dallas area. The Saint, an upscale steakhouse, will open at 2633 Gaston Avenue, formerly the location of Two Sisters, and Night Rooster, an Asian bar and restaurant, will open in the Design District.
The two new restaurants are part of Andy Hooper’s latest portfolio of concepts, including his three Las Vegas restaurants: The Black Sheep, The Locale, and El Luchador.
Hooper’s concept for The Saint will include Italian-inspired menu offerings of dry-aged meat and chops, house-made pasta, and vegetable-based dishes.
A “sinners and saints” theme will be established in the restaurant’s decor through juxtaposed wood and steel and contrasting bright and dark color tones.
Lounge seating will be available for 120 guests starting fall 2022.
The drink menu at The Saint will offer a creative spin on cocktails with a house-made syrup, tonics, and a robust wine menu that includes California reds and Italian whites.
Night Rooster will bring Asian flare to the Design District with a 4,000-square-foot dining room and an equally impressive 3,000-square-foot outdoor dining area with a rooftop and seating to accommodate 300 guests.
Night Rooster’s menu will give diners a choice of sharable dishes, Japanese beef, and raw bar favorites. The restaurant’s ambiance transports diners into the alleyways of Hong Kong with its dark decor with Asian-inspired wood and plants accenting the rooftop. Night Rooster is expected to open at the top of 2023.
Hooper is well-known for his expertise in curating restaurants, bars, and hotels. His two decades of restaurant and hospitality experience began after he graduated from Tennessee State University.
The hospitality expert started by overseeing Mario Batali’s first Las Vegas restaurants, B&B Ristorante and Carnevino Italian Steakhouse. His work with MGM Resorts, Steven Starr’s Buddakan in New York City, Alicart Restaurant Group, Chef Daniel Boulud, and Dinex Group has allowed Hooper to open his restaurants in Las Vegas and now in Dallas.
Hooper also has plans to open a boutique hotel in Deep Ellum.
