West Village in Dallas will soon welcome a new restaurant named Fiatto, offering fresh, house-made Italian dishes. Open for dinner and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays, Fiatto was created by Chefs Kylil Henson and John Dal Canton, who is set to be the location’s general manager.

Together Henson and Dal Canton plan to offer patrons dishes inspired by their Italian upbringings in New Jersey and Philadelphia. The menu will feature house-made mozzarella cheese, freshly baked breads, and house-made pastas with a “focus on seasonal, organic ingredients sourced from mostly local farmers and purveyors when possible,” as shared by a restaurant spokesperson.

“Growing up in South Philly, one of the biggest hubs of Italian cuisine in the country, I was fully immersed in the culture and cuisine,” Henson shared.

Henson added, ”Many of my friends were Italian, and when I would go over to their house, their parents would cook decadent dishes for us and oftentimes would teach me how to make them. My mom’s Italian coworkers would always give her recipes to make us at home as well, so I grew up eating classic Italian dishes all the time.”

According to Dallas Culture Maps, Fiatto will feature rich Italian fare. Some of the dishes offered include Agnolotti, which is very similar to ravioli but prepared slightly differently, house-made pizzas, and spiced lamb shank, with sides that include 24k risotto.

As for cocktails, the menu will be centered on Italian aperitifs, Negroni, Aperol Spritz, and seasonally-inspired drinks. Wines and beer will also be available.

For brunch, Fiatto plans to offer Bloody Mary samplers, pitchers of Mimosas, and more.

Fiatto’s menu will provide some Sunday greats for breakfast as well, including Ferrero Roche Waffles, Cappuccino Waffles, lemon-ricotta souffle pancakes, and more.

Fiatto is slated to open in West Village sometime in the Spring.
