Tickets for the 36th annual GrapeFest are now on sale.

The four-day fall festival runs from September 15-18, 2022, in Grapevine and features signature events, like the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic, and the Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience.

Sponsored by Bank of the West, GrapeFest is the largest wine festival in the southwest. It showcases a number of Texas wines, alongside guest selections from wineries in the California Sonoma Valley and even the Italian island of Sicily.

While not everyone is a wine drinker, GrapeFest will have something for those who love craft beer, cider, and hard seltzers at booths throughout the festival.

New to GrapeFest for 2022

New at this year’s GrapeFest are special VIP Experiences, which allow more intimate tasting sessions within private tents. Limited deluxe seating will be available inside the tent with gourmet charcuterie boards, live entertainment, and more. VIP offerings will be available at both the People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic and the Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience.

The People’s Choice Wine Tasting Classic will feature 30 Texas wineries, which will provide over 100 Texas wines for festival-goers to sample and vote for their favorites.

Guests will receive a wine reference guide detailing all the wines available, and the winner will be announced on Sunday, September 18 at 5 p.m. There will be eight 90-minute tasting sessions Thursday through Sunday, and three VIP sessions on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Tickets for the event are $25 in advance and $28 at the festival. Attendees can expect light hors d’oeuvres along with a souvenir wine glass. VIP tastings for this event are $50 and will include a gourmet charcuterie board and a souvenir wine glass.

All guests must be 21+ to enter. This signature event will be located in the Historic Cotton Belt Railroad District.

Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience

GrapeFest’s other signature event is the Liberty Park Plaza Wine Experience, sponsored by the Gaylord Resort. Live music will accompany this tour of some of the richest wine countries in the world.

Festival-goers can purchase a wine flight tasting card with six 1-ounce pours from 12 of the wines from the featured regions. Each card is $18 in advance or $20 at the festival and includes a souvenir wine glass.

VIP tasting cards are $50 and include first-come-first-served premiere seating at the Gaylord Texan Lounge. Light snacks, two glasses of wine from the private bar, and a souvenir glass are included.

As boozy as much of the GrapeFest is, the event has fun for the entire family. Guests can take a spin on the giant Ferris wheel and catch thrills on the many carnival rides and games. For added fun, test your luck with the Champagne Cork Shoot-Off, and kids (13 years or older) can participate in a grape stomp competition
