Three Dallas-Fort Worth area restaurants landed on Yelp’s Top 100 Places to Eat in the US 2023

With over 6,000 restaurants in Dallas alone, running out of dining options is not a problem.

Sunny Thai landed on the Yelp list at 58.

The restaurant is located in Arlington at 4306 Matlock Rd., Suite 108. It offers an incredible array of fresh Thai dishes like Pad Thai, curry, and orange chicken. Yelpers rave about the fantastic food and “huge portions.”

Sunny Thai says it guarantees fast and friendly service and is open every day of the week except for Tuesday. The best part is every dish on the menu is under $18, so this top-rated restaurant is also affordable.

Fattoush Mediterranean Kitchen came next on the list at number 62, with a four-and-a-half star rating on Yelp.

Chef Bashar Al Mudhafar embraced his Iraqi background to bring dishes to Dallas from his home city of Baghdad. The restaurant is located in Pantego at 2304 W Park Row Dr., Suite 25.

When you walk in, you walk into Chef Bashar’s home away from home, surrounded by Arabic decor and a cute Middle-Eastern vibe. The meat is halal, meaning it is hand slaughtered, and the blood is drained, following Islamic Law. Yelpers recommend the hummus.

The staff is very helpful to individuals who may not know what to order.

Ricky’s Hot Chicken came in at number 86, offering unique peanut and dairy-free fried chicken options.

The owner, Ricky Tran, researched the history behind Nashville’s hot chicken after having his first taste and eventually added his own twist. The meat here is also halal.

Chicken at the restaurant is offered at six different heat levels, from spices tolerable for two-year-olds to the A-Bomb flavor that contains jalapeño, reaper, habanero, ghost, and scorpion peppers, giving customers a uniquely fiery experience.

You can get tenders, wings, chicken, and waffles, or a leg and a thigh with several traditional sides, including coleslaw and banana pudding.

Yelpers rave about the special “comeback sauce.” The restaurant has an overall four-and-a-half-star rating, and there are two locations: one in Arlington at 3810 S Cooper St., Suite 138, and another in Richardson at 100 S. Central Expy., Suite 18.

So, next time you’re in the mood to try something new, know that at least Yelp thinks these top-rated restaurants are worth a try.
