The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is bringing back its National Geographic Live Speaker Series, featuring individuals who have made monumental contributions to modern science.

The museum announced the return of the series on January 17. The series will feature three speakers over the course of the year starting with paleoanthropologist Lee Berger in February, followed by aerospace engineer Tracy Drain in May, and paleontologist Dr. Lindsay Zanno in October, according to a press release.

The speakers will tell stories of their work and discoveries in their respective fields.

Berger’s presentation called “Cave of Bones,” will take place on February 21 and detail his exploration of Micronesia, the African continent, and Asia while studying the origins of humanity. Berger will also discuss his discovery of two species thought to be human ancestors.

Drain’s presentation, known as “Cosmic Adventures,” will take place on May 17. She will discuss her work with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the use of robots to explore the solar system and space.

Finally, on October 2, Zanno’s “Rise of T. rex” event will explore her search for dinosaur species across western North America, her discovery of new species, and her study of how the T. rex became the dominant species in North America.

“The amazing discoveries brought to life through this series bring inspiring tales of next-level scientific achievement from the far reaches of the globe right here to Dallas’ doorstep,” said Dr. Linda Silver, Eugene McDermott CEO of the Perot Museum. “We are honored to host these three extraordinary explorers and to share their adventures with our community, allowing us to continue a tradition of connecting the power of STEM to people, places, and ideas.”

Each of these three events will be held at the Hoglund Foundation Theater in Dallas.

Tickets are currently available on the museum’s website. Members of the Perot Museum can purchase single-event tickets for $35 or $100 for the series while non-members can purchase single-event tickets for $40 or $115 for the series.
