Wine lovers, whiskey drinkers and foodies of Dallas will have a new restaurant to venture to this coming Fall at the Village’s Parkway shopping center. District, a San Francisco-based restaurant, will open its first Texas location sometime in October.
District currently has three locations in California. The restaurant was created by partners Jon D’Angelica and Ryan Vance back in 2007. The original concept for the restaurant conceived by the pair was a wine bar but their plans quickly spun into a more intimate experience for diners.
District specializes in small globally themed tapas style plates, smoked pork belly sliders, BBQ beef short ribs, deviled eggs, fontina & spinach arancini, and grilled hanger steak. For seafood lovers, District offers ahi tuna poke and oysters on the half shell. For picky eaters and pizza lovers, they offer hand tossed pies. New dishes will also be featured in rotation as the seasons change.
As for wine, District specializes in delivering an assorted collection of reds, whites, and roses. Whiskey connoisseurs will be drawn to their flights with sippers happy to see their unique crafted cocktail list made from bourbon, vodka, tequila, and gin bases. For beer lovers they offer cans and bottles.
The rustic, contemporary restaurant will encompass 3,800 square feet with seating for roughly 100 people. The outdoor patio can fit up to 40 patrons.
“In Addison, the ‘bones’ of the space pay tribute to the historic brick & timber warehouse spaces we occupy in our home base of Northern California. The interior is filled with rich woods, rustic chandeliers and contemporary accents that are right in line with our design philosophy,” D’Angelica shared with Crave WFD in June.
District’s opening comes at a time when many restaurants are struggling to remain afloat. The restaurants success appears to be due to its great customer service according to reviews and its great menu with something for everybody.
The restaurant hopes to attract friends and families for intimate, fun lunches and dinners. They also feature a late night menu.
District is located at 5100 Belt Line Road in Addison.
