A few of your favorite affordable restaurant chains will remain open on Christmas Eve and Christmas this holiday season, for those of us who don’t feel like cooking or don’t celebrate but don’t want to “break the bank.”
Applebee’s
Your neighborhood Applebee’s will be open to serve you on both Christmas Eve and Day, although hours may vary.
A popular Japanese steak and sushi destination, Benihana will be open on Christmas Eve and Day. Hours may differ by location, but most will operate from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
Boston Markets will be open Christmas Eve, and some locations will also open Christmas Day.
Chili’s will be open to serve its usual mix of Tex-Mex and American favorites on Christmas Eve for lunch, but will close at 4 p.m. All locations will remain closed for Christmas Day.
Cracker Barrel will open Christmas Eve for breakfast and lunch but will close at 2 p.m. The homestyle restaurant will also be closed on Christmas Day.
Dunkin’ Donuts will be open to satisfy your sweet or savory breakfast cravings for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but the hours may differ by location.
You may dine at the International House of Pancakes on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but the hours may differ by location.
The reigning destination for caffeine will have limited locations open on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but different stores may observe different hours.
The classic fast-food burger chain tends to stay open for holidays, but Christmas Eve and Christmas Day openings and hours may vary.
Olive Garden locations will be open for Christmas Eve from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and closed for Christmas Day.
Outback Steakhouse
The steakhouse chain will say “G’day mate!” to guests on Christmas Eve if you’re craving shrimp on the barbie but will be closed for Christmas Day.
Waffle House is historically open 24/7, 365, but some of its diners have adjusted their hours due to the pandemic. Be sure to check with your usual location to confirm their holiday hours.
