Post Malone is returning home for his Twelve Carat Toothache tour, titled for his fourth studio album of the same name.

The tour will make its way to Dallas on October 21 at the American Airlines Center. Malone, a native of Grapevine, knows there is a stark difference between Dallas and Fort Worth, so he will give Fort Worth its own show at the Dickies Arena on October 26.

Additional dates in Texas include Austin’s Moody Center on October 22 and Houston’s Toyota Center on October 25, allowing for some downtime between shows for Malone to spend with his new daughter.

Opening for Malone is the Compton, California rapper Roddy Ricch also featured on Malone’s newly released single, “Cooped Up.”

Talking with Rolling Stone about touring, Malone said, “I love touring, and I love meeting my fans and singing these songs with them, but at the same time, it’s such an ass-kicker. My back kills me, my neck kills me, my feet kill me.”

While Malone is no stranger to touring, his Twelve Carat Toothache dates will be his first outings since the tour for his 2019 album Hollywood’s Bleeding was cut short by the pandemic. Malone admits that there is a lot to think about while on the road and calls it a “give-and-take.”

“You give up so much, and you receive it in love, and that’s what everything is about: feeling loved. That’s what everybody wants,” he shared.

No matter where he hits the stage, Malone has always had a special place in his heart for Texas, especially Dallas-Fort Worth. He gifted his alma mater, Grapevine High School, with his signature yellow Crocs back in 2020.

Posty, as fans affectionately call him, has a well-documented history with cowboy hats, both those associated with “America’s Team” and with Texas’ signature style. Malone is such a fan of the Dallas Cowboys that he took the time to help announce the team’s 2021 schedule.

Malone also hosts his festival, dubbed Postyfest, in DFW. After shows in ’18 (at Dos Equis Pavillion) and ’19 (at the Cowboys’ AT&T Stadium), Malone canceled the event in ’20 and ’21 due to the pandemic. Postyfest is expected to return in 2022, but no announcement has been made.

It is no doubt that Post Malone will get a warm welcome when he returns to the Lone Star State. Tickets for Malone’s Twelve Carat Toothache tour go on sale Friday, June 17, at LiveNation.com.
