The New York-based poke chain, Pokeworks, has opened a new location in Uptown Dallas.

As pointed out by Dallas Culture Maps, Pokeworks has arrived just in time for poke fans; recently, Malibu Poke closed permanently.

Pokeworks has locations all over the United States, with the new property operated by Sam Fawal and Ali Ghandour. Pokeworks prides itself on serving Hawaiian-inspired bowls with fresh ingredients.

The chain first started in Manhattan with just nine founders.

“Ali and I have always wanted to combine our longstanding restaurant experience and go into business together, but we struggled to find the right fit,” Fawal shared in a statement.

“When we found Pokeworks, we could tell it had everything we were looking for. From its premium menu offerings to the traditional core values at the center of the brand, we knew that Pokeworks was a natural fit. We cannot wait to share this concept with our friends and neighbors in Dallas, and we look forward to further expanding into the diverse food scene that Dallas has to offer,” he said.

Their menu offerings include a variety of fresh meats that include spicy ahi, sweet sesame chicken, Hawaiian ahi, yuzu ponzu salmon, shrimp, and umami ahi. They also offer tofu options for vegetarians.

Customers can choose from salads, bowls, or burritos. Mix-ins like kale, seaweed, mandarin oranges, cilantro, edamame, and more are also available. Those looking for crunchy texture can pick from wonton crisps, onion crisps, shredded nori, and lotus chips.

Pokeworks also offers desserts; con mango haupia and pineapple dole whip.

Pokeworks in Uptown Dallas is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
