What is better than a Thanksgiving Day feast? A Thanksgiving Day feast with no messy kitchen to clean up afterward!
Hungry North Texans who don’t want to cook and clean on November 24 can be thankful for the cornucopia of eateries staying open for Turkey Day. Holiday eaters can spend the day restaurant hopping, stuffing their bellies with stuffing, and raising their spirits with spirits.
Here is just a sampling of what the metroplex has to offer:
Select La Madeleine locations will offer a Feast Sampler meal for dine-in guests, which will include a choice of oven-roasted turkey or applewood smoked ham topped with mushroom sauce, cranberry apple stuffing, green bean almondine, and cranberry orange chutney.
La Madeleine also offers a Take & Heat Feast and a hot Catered Feast option.
Stirr, a “high energy, modern, American restaurant and bar” with locations in Deep Ellum and Addison, is offering a T-Day meal featuring corn chowder, Cajun-rubbed turkey, maple-glazed ham, jalapeno sausage cornbread stuffing, wild mushroom green bean casserole, and more for $34 per adult. Reservations can be booked via SevenRooms.
Luby’s cafeteria has served Texas families since 1947 and is always a reliable option for a family-friendly, inexpensive holiday meal. Luby’s offers turkey and dressing, two sides, a dinner roll, and a free holiday dessert for $13.99.
For those who like their turkey with a side of pasta, Maggiano’s Little Italy is the place to go. The restaurant is offering a special Thanksgiving family-style three-course dine-in menu with multiple options for entrees, pasta, sides, desserts, and beverages. View the menu here.
Carnivores can have their turkey and “meat it” too, as the popular churrascaria Fogo de Chao will serve the Thanksgiving bird along with an extensive array of other choices. Children aged 7–12 eat for half price with the purchase of an adult churrasco. The restaurant is also offering a Thanksgiving Celebration To-Go option.
Smoked turkey legs, pie, and football are on the menu at Two Mules Cantina in Irving, offering Thanksgiving Day fare with a TexMex flair. The holiday feast includes a choice of smoked turkey leg or smoked brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, stuffing, green bean casserole, and cranberry sauce.
Dessert is included, and adult plates range from $26–$28. Kid-sized plates are $12. The cantina’s regular menu will be available as well. Reservations can be made by calling 469-577-4599.
Del Frisco’s Grille, with locations in Fort Worth, Southlake, and Plano, has a special Thanksgiving menu, including turkey, of course, but also chicken, salmon, scallops, fillet mignon, New York Strip, and more. Romano’s Macaroni Grill urges patrons to “Make Memories, Not Dinner.” The restaurant will serve a traditional three-course roasted turkey dinner with a starter choice of salad or soup and sides including mashed potatoes with roasted garlic, sausage and apple stuffing, broccolini or Brussel sprouts, and a selection of desserts.
Adult meals are $34, and a child’s plate is $17. The restaurant’s regular menu will also be available on Thanksgiving Day.
Other restaurants reportedly offering traditional Thanksgiving dishes on November 24 include Applebee’s, Boston Market, Cracker Barrel, and Golden Corral.
