With Christmas officially over, North Texans can get ready to celebrate the New Year and Kwanzaa. New Year’s Eve celebrations will be held throughout the region, KERA News reported, from fireworks displays to symphony performances.
Reunion Tower in Dallas will host OVER THE TOP NYE 2023 on December 31. The event is returning for the seventh year, according to the website, and features panoramic fireworks.
“The 360-degree, panoramic fireworks spectacular will benefit Children’s Health via the Reunion Tower NYE Foundation again this year,” the website shares. “Established in 2020, the foundation supports and showcases a local North Texas nonprofit organization each year in the weeks leading up [to] New Year’s Eve and culminating through the fireworks spectacular.”
Reunion Tower does not offer viewings, but those on the nearby city streets will be able to see the show free of charge.
North Texans can ring in the New Year in style with the New Year’s Eve Royal Masquerade Ball at The Statler. The event includes champagne, a three-course meal, a casino, an open bar, and more, KERA News reported.
Tickets for the event cost between $150 and $5,000. The ball begins at 10 p.m.
The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will be performing its annual Viennese tribute on December 31, with tickets ranging from $40 to $180.
The event website encourages North Texans to “[t]oast the New Year with lively waltzes from the Strauss dynasty, honoring the most prestigious of New Year’s musical traditions.”
The orchestra will perform at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center starting at 7:30 p.m.
North Texans can also enjoy a musical celebration in Fort Worth at The Post at River East, according to KERA News, with the Squeezebox Bandits.
The show begins at 9 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $125 and includes black-eyed peas and champagne at midnight.
