Chet’s Dallas, a new Irish eatery, has opened in the West End. A great addition to Dallas’ extensive list of great places to dine, Chet’s offers Irish-American dishes with a delicious menu of whiskies to sip, Irish-based cocktails, and more.

Chet’s Dallas comes from restaurateur Jay Khan, the man behind RJ’s Mexican Cuisine. His latest upscale venture is located at the Awalt building on Market Street. Chet’s was inspired by his late father-in-law Jay, a former US Navy veteran, who loved sarcasm and a good whiskey.

“Despite all the challenges we’ve faced these last two years, we are so excited to bring our latest concept, Chet’s to the people of Dallas. They have been incredibly loyal to us over the last three decades and we believe it is the perfect addition to the West End offering a place where people can gather again,” Khan shared in a statement.

Chet’s encompasses 3,900 square feet and can accommodate up to 72 patrons in the newly renovated space. The atmosphere is all about “causal luxury.” The relaxing, comfortable vibe comes from large coaches, crystal chandeliers, a marble bar, and book-lined shelves with oversized chairs.

The menu includes starters such as Irish Fried Chips, Shishito Peppers, jumbo pretzels with dipping sauce, potato skins with jalapeños, and bone-in wings. Chet’s Dallas also offers Irish stew, tomato bisque, fish and chips, Tikka Masala, shepherd’s pie, pot roast sandwich, and more. Seasonal dishes will also be served so that loyal patrons will always have something new to experience.

The cocktail list includes spicy, smooth choices to sugary sweet; Irish Old Fashioned, Lavender Lemon Old Fashioned, Gimlet, French 75, and more.

Chet’s Dallas is open Sunday through Monday with indoor seating and outside patio seating until 11 p.m. The patio can seat up to 70. Chet’s Dallas opened on Nov. 30.
