Aventiv Technologies, headquartered in Dallas, Texas, provides solutions and services to more than 3,450 public safety entities, enforcement, and corrections agencies while helping more than a million incarcerated individuals in North America.

The company is dedicated to helping to serve and connect through the provision of incident response, emergency management, inmate self-service, investigation, surveillance products, public information, biometric analysis, in order to contribute to a safer world.

Miles of Freedom (MOF) is a non-profit organization that is committed to supporting people and families in their efforts to rehabilitate into society and transition from incarceration to release into the community.

MOF believes that reducing recidivism and achieving safer communities depends on “holistic” reintegration services. Richard Miles, the Founder, was sentenced to fifteen years in a Texas prison following a wrongful conviction.

He was freed from prison in 2009 through the work of Centurion Ministries in Princeton, NJ, and in 2012, the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals reversed his conviction declaring him “truly” innocent. That is when Miles of Freedom was born.

Holistic services concentrate on the needs of individuals who have been affected by incarceration and provide support to the families and communities in which they will return and live.

Miles of Freedom was very excited to thank the Aventiv Technologies Community Impact Fund for their generous grant. Aventiv, whose mission is to connect people to the things that matter most through their products, has made significant progress in social justice and correctional reform.

The Miles of Freedom team looks forward to increasing the amount of support and resources for individuals, families, and communities affected by incarceration with Aventiv’s help.

Board Chair for Miles of Freedom, Tricia Bridges, said, “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Aventiv Technologies Community Impact Fund for the generous grant support. The work Miles of Freedom has accomplished is only possible with the support of our donors, volunteers, and corporate engagement partners. On behalf of every client and family that will be served in the years ahead, we extend a huge Thank you.”
