On November 18 and 19, the Maple Brothers Classic Collections Auction rolled into town at Dallas Market Hall.

The auction saw many different cars and trucks sell, ultimately making the Maple Brothers auction a dashing success.

“One of the more favorite vehicles we sold that I think everyone is still in awe over is a Good Humor brand Ice Cream truck,” said Marketing Director of Maple Brothers Auctions Jennifer Tetley, speaking to The Dallas Express.

“We sold that for $70,000, and it had a fully working, fully functioning ice box and had the lights, the bells. It was so cute, and we’re fortunate that it is going to a museum, and we’re thrilled about that. It was a 1955 Ford F-250, and couldn’t have been more excited,” Tetley explained.

The auto auction company operates out of Tulsa, Oklahoma, but travels around the country and has conducted four auctions to date, with many more events coming up.

The Maple Brothers team consists of familiar faces from the collector car auction world that came together during the pandemic to create the company. Many of the members have worked in the auction world for a long time and have made lasting relationships with their clients.

“We’re very, very fortunate. A lot of this business is relationship-based, and our company is very relationship-based, and we value all our clients,” said Tetley.

“We had that opportunity to maintain those relationships, and a lot of those clients were looking for a smaller place to sell vehicles that they are not just some number. ‘No, you’re Mr. Joe Smith, and we’re so glad you’re here.’ That’s our business, our customers like to feel like they’re valued and not a number,” Tetley told The Dallas Expressed.

Other popular vehicles that were sold at the Maple Bros auction were a 1992 Lamborghini Diablo, which sold for $142K, a custom-made 1955 Chevy 3800 pickup truck, which sold for $64,800, and a 1969 Camaro RS/SS, which sold for $60,000.

“I love the cars; I think it’s very exciting to go out there and get the cars consigned from people, get them in the auction and then bring all the people in. I mean we have a fantastic client base, people who don’t only buy but sell with us, and when we all get together it’s like a real big family,” said Tetley.

“We work hard, we play hard, and seeing this all come together, the auctioneers get up there, and then the magic happens, and cars get sold. It’s just incredible, and it’s the feeling that there’s so much work that goes into it, and then to have it all come to fruition, it’s just exciting because you’re like, we did this, we put all of this together,” Tetley said excitedly.

The next Maple Bros auction will be held at the Oklahoma City Convention Center in Oklahoma City on February 17 and 18, 2023.
