Clothes4Souls partnered with Macy’s and distributed 500 new coats to Hope Dallas on November 17.
Soles4Souls and Macy’s volunteers partnered with local charities and service entities to distribute the coats to people in need in the Dallas area, according to a press release.
The organizations gathered at Bryan Adams High School in Dallas. This partnership has been conducted in similar events across the nation in cities such as Atlanta, Georgia, and Nashville, Tennessee.
This was the 10th year of partnership between Macy’s and Soles4Souls. This partnership has distributed new coats to more than 300,000 people across the nation since 2013.
Clothes4Souls is a division of the non-profit Soles4Souls and alongside donating footwear, provides clothing and apparel for populations in need as well as providing sustainable jobs. The organization has also served by creating other outreach programs such as 4Opportunity, 4Relief, and 4EveryKid. The organization has served 129 countries and provided over 83 million pairs of shoes and clothing items since its founding in 2006.
Hope Dallas is a missional Christian Ministry created to serve those in need in the city of Dallas. The organization hosts a number of community outreach “Hope Initiatives” and programs such as Kicks for Kids, Adopt a School, Family Dinners, and Family Block Parties.
Macy’s had previously donated 10,000 new coats to Soles4Souls through its “Buy a Coat and We’ll Donate One” campaign in October 2022. This campaign lasted from October 11 to 12. Macy’s donated a new coat, up to 10,000, for every eligible one purchased online.
