There was one very lucky Plano resident Monday as the Texas Lottery said a resident had stepped forward to claim the $1 million prize, reported WFAA.
The drawing for the ticket was first held on July 29 and was set to expire on January 25, 2023.
The winning ticket, purchased by someone who preferred to remain anonymous, was purchased from RaceTrac #099 in Plano at 1100 W. Park Blvd.
It was a Quick Pick that matched the drawn numbers. However, the Mega Ball number — 14 — was not picked.
The winning numbers were 13, 36, 45, 57, and 67.
There is another winning ticket from the same drawing, which has not been claimed so far. The deadline for the winner to claim the prize is Wednesday, January 25, at 5 p.m., according to Texas Lottery officials.
The prize can be claimed at any Texas Lottery claim center.
The unclaimed winning ticket was bought at Fuel Maxx #47 at 420 University Dr. in Prairie View.
In other lottery-related news, no one won the $940 million Mega Millions jackpot Friday, and at least one lucky player will have the chance to win $1 billion, the fifth-highest prize in American history.
Although the jackpot went unclaimed, five tickets — two in New York, one in Florida, one in New Jersey, and one in Maryland — matched the first five numbers to win $1 million.
