Someone who purchased the winning lottery jackpot ticket in Mansfield ahead of Wednesday’s drawing could soon be $7.5 million richer.
The winning numbers selected in the drawing were 5-13-22-29-37-48. Texas Lottery announced Thursday that the ticket was purchased at the One World Grocery in Mansfield, about 45 minutes southwest of downtown Dallas.
As of the writing of this article, the winner of this prize money has not yet stepped forward to redeem the winning ticket.
“We look forward to meeting the winner of this Lotto Texas jackpot prize,” said Gary Grief, executive director of the Texas Lottery, according to WFAA. “If you have the winning ticket, we encourage you to sign the ticket, put it in a safe place, seek financial and legal advice, and call the Texas Lottery to schedule an appointment to claim the prize,” he continued.
The owner of the winning ticket had selected the option to receive this money in 30 annual installments of $250,000, before taxes, according to the Texas Lottery. The “lucky winner” has 180 days to redeem the ticket, according to Lotto Texas rules.
In total, 11,374 winning tickets were sold, with prize amounts ranging from $2 to the top prize of $7.5 million.
