The Latino Cultural Center (LCC) is hosting seven free, family-friendly events during December.

The exhibit, Marian Ichaso Lefeld: Tierra de Gracia, is running now until February 26, 2022. During regular operating hours, guests can view paintings created by Ichaso Lefeld.

According to a press release, the exhibit is filled with “large-scale paintings that represent her perspective on the Venezuelan Modernist utopia resulting from the 20th-century oil boom.”

Vibrant colors, geometric and abstract shapes, and oils on canvas are combined to create images she remembers of Caracas, oil wealth, and exploitation in Venezuela. More recently, the paintings made by the artist represent Venezuela’s development and social and economic struggles.
