Downtown Dallas has transformed into a holiday wonderland, and it’s the perfect place to add some holiday spirit to your social media feeds.
Not only are the Neiman Marcus windows picture perfect for the holidays, but Santa is there for pictures now through December 24. You can tackle your Christmas shopping list and stop by and see Santa from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily.
If your shopping trip lasts late into the evening, check out the butterflies in the Civic Garden. The LED-lit butterflies are a Dallas staple, and they make for an excellent addition to your selfie. Don’t forget to visit the Christmas Trees and decorations at Klyde Warren Park, Victory Park, Dallas West End, and the AT&T Discovery District.
All of the hotels in Downtown Dallas are decorated beautifully with tons of lights and holiday colors. Bring a friend and get an Instagram-worthy picture in any of the gorgeous hotel lobbies. Check out the Adolphus, The Statler, Joule Hotel, Omni Hotel, and the Thompson Dallas.
Pegasus Plaza is the home of the Christmas car. It was commissioned by Nieman Marcus in 2003, who then donated it to the City of Dallas in 2012. If you’re looking for a great group shot, check out the Main Street Garden for the giant tree and wreath, featuring over 3,000 bulbs, 10,000 mini lights, and 450 ornaments.
Of course, the best pictures always feature the Dallas skyline. Find a rooftop or high up location where you can get the ever-changing Reunion Tower, Omni Hotel, and the “big green building,” also known as Bank Of America Plaza, all in one picture. Capturing the shot will nearly guarantee you the “Best Christmas Card” spot amongst friends and family this year!
