New Year’s Eve is approaching, but the night of celebration need not be only for adults! The metroplex offers fun-filled, family-friendly activities for people of all ages to enjoy. Below is a list of New Year’s Eve events that the Dallas-Fort Worth area is excited to share.

Noon Year’s Eve at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Gardens

On December 31 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., the Rory Meyers Children’s Adventure Garden at the Dallas Arboretum will host a Noon Year’s Eve Celebration. Count down to a ball drop at 12 p.m. rather than staying up late, and participate in a variety of activities, all included in Children’s Adventure Garden admission. Epic Family New Year at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark

Located at Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark at 2970 Epic Place in Grand Prairie, the Epic Family New Year celebration starts at 1:00 p.m. on December 31. For $17 to $34 a person, visitors can craft foam boats, tiki masks, fish sun catchers, foam leis, sand art magnets, tropical sun catchers, glitter mosaic fish, and foam submarines. There will also be a “duck drop” in place of a New Year’s Eve ball drop, a duck race, circus performance, hula dancers, steel drums, stilts, fire performances, and aerial bartending. Pop & Party ’21 at the Dave & Buster’s Spotlight Lounge

DJ Earworm will be making his debut in Dallas at the all-new Spotlight Lounge, located in the Dave & Buster’s at 9450 North Central Expressway. Admission to the event, which begins at 8 p.m., costs $35 per person and includes a $20 Power Card, free virtual reality experiences all night, happy hour specials at the bar, casino games, costumed characters, and a music video dance party. New Year’s Eve Party at Strikz Entertainment

Strikz Entertainment, located at 8789 Lebanon Road in Frisco, offers two New Year’s family packages. The Family Fun Party takes place from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and ranges from $35 to $40 per person. This package includes a 7:00 p.m. countdown, bowling, laser tag, billiards, video games, pizza, soft drinks, and party favors. The other package is called the NYE Bash, which takes place from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Ticket prices range from $40 to $45 per person and include everything in the Family Fun Party package plus a champagne toast at midnight for adults. Countdown to Noon at Sci-Tech Discovery Center

The Sci-Tech Discovery Center, located at 8004 North Dallas Parkway in Frisco, will host a celebration from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Festivities will feature a light writing photo room, robot calendar course, and glow tattoo station. Visitors will also have the opportunity to make sparkling grape juice gummy spheres, popping wish bangs, and geometric New Year’s Eve hats, as well as build animatronic clocks. There will also be Fireworks 101 shows and electric ball drops at various intervals throughout the event. Tickets range from $12 to $15.
