Thanksgiving is when people come together and celebrate what they are thankful for. It is meant to be a time to give thanks for your blessings and to practice gratitude.

At the Galleria mall in Dallas, plenty of people, family, and friends gathered to shop, have fun and enjoy the atmosphere, including the giant Christmas tree in the middle of their ice rink to enjoy.

There is plenty to be thankful for in Texas and within the city of Dallas.

The Dallas Express spoke to mall patron Travis Sharp, who came to spend some time with his daughter and her friend.

“I came out here with my daughter and her friend to kind of just spend some time and thought about going ice skating or maybe going shopping,” Sharp told The Dallas Express.

“And you know, thinking about the holiday and all the things we’re thankful for is really just family, friends, and good health,” said Sharp.

The Galleria mall has always been a warm and welcoming place, especially during the holiday season.

It’s where mothers and daughters spend time shopping for the gifts or items they want and spending time with each other.

It’s where fathers will carry their kids on their shoulders, grandparents buy their grandchildren gifts, and best friends and couples come to enjoy the good vibes.

“We really just came here to hang out and try to find some gifts in the store,” said Chop Brown, who came to the mall with her boyfriend, speaking to The Dallas Express.

“I’m thankful for my mom, and I’m thankful for God and my little sister, and I’m just thankful to be living and have a job, not being on the streets,” Brown expressed.

Jordan Deckard, the boyfriend of Brown, told The Dallas Express, “I’m thankful for my family and the people I hang around and my animals and just living.”

The Dallas Express is thankful for its loyal readership and the privilege of being a reliable news source for our fellow Dallasites.

Happy Thanksgiving, Dallas!
