Recently, residents in Keller have become very aware of a creepy doll found relaxing on a bench by the Town Hall. She has become the star of police investigations, a selfie-spot for locals, and has gained attention on social media in a silly (and maybe creepy) escapade that certainly kept the. community entertained.

On February 10, the City of Keller Government Facebook page shared a picture of their new friend and decided to name her Vicki M. You know, because it’s short for Victorian Murder doll. City officials said the creepy doll was left on the bench around 9:00 p.m. on February 9.

The City of Keller’s Facebook page is having fun with this one. “So noooooormally, we’d think nothing of it, but we’ve seen The Craft. And Annabelle. And Child’s Play. So…. yea. We’ll be calling for some backup from Keller Public Safety on this one,” the post expressed.

Their post about Vicki M. on Facebook had over 22,000 reactions, 47,000 shares, and 5,500 comments.

According to CBS DFW, Vicki M. was left on the bench by city staff because there was no way they were bringing her inside to be claimed from lost and found.

Keller Public Safety posted a hilarious video with a police officer on the scene to investigate the creepy doll, where her description was: pale-skinned, wearing a blue dress, and pitch-black hair with matching shades of darkness for her eyes. No doll was to be found by the officer, but with suspenseful music playing in the background, you can see Vicki M. peeking over a ledge.

So, where did Vicki M. come from, to begin with? A mom told WFAA that her daughter Lucy, along with two friends, were the culprits behind the mysterious doll. “The doll was left at one of the girls’ houses by one of their older sisters’ friends,” the mom shared.

Every parent involved with the creepy doll situation refused to bring her home, therefore the girls apparently left Vicki M. at a bench as a prank when they finished up with a church youth group event.

KSAT News shared how the situation brought the community together between mock police investigations, selfies, and funny commentary.

The city staff expressed, “This certainly isn’t how we expected to spend the end of our workweek, but when life gives you Creepy Victorian Murder Doll lemons, you have to make Creepy Victorian Murder Doll lemonade. Our residents are an adventurous bunch with a great sense of humor, and it was wonderful seeing the community embrace something so fun and frivolous.”
