Palabra de Vida Church, located in Oak Cliff, opened a pumpkin patch with free admission for everyone. This entertainment is offered as Halloween comes close.
The pumpkin patch is on the church property, right across the street from the church building. It is located at 2554 Bakersfield Street, Dallas.
The church’s pumpkin patch is an initiative to reduce the financial burden of the holiday celebrations on families. It does this by giving residents a free way to have fun.
“This property used to be nothing,” Palabra de Vida Pastor Juve Estrada said, noting that the property has now become a blessing to families who cannot afford holiday celebrations.
“My wife and I have four kids,” Estrada said. “We wanted it to be free.”
According to a news report by NBC 4, Estrada said that the pumpkin patch fosters a connection between members of the Palabra de Vida church, families, and neighbors.
The Palabra de Vida Pumpkin Patch is open from now through Halloween from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
