Grapevine will celebrate American Craft Beer Week at the 38th Annual Main Street Fest this weekend. The three-day festival runs from May 20-22 on historic Main Street in Grapevine.

Along with the Craft Brew Experience, the Main Street Fest will feature street performers, family-friendly games and activities, and excellent dining and shopping opportunities.

The Craft Brew Experience takes place at the Craft Brew Garden and features 75 brews from 30 select breweries, they also offer wine if beer is not for you. The experience includes eight 3-ounce tastings and a souvenir glass to take home.

Discount cards for the Craft Brew Experience are priced at $16 if purchased before 5 p.m. on Friday, May 20. Tickets do not include the Main Street Fest and are non-refundable.

The kids will enjoy the fest’s Pirates of the Columbian Caribbean street performances. Acrobats will perform high-wire stunts 20 feet in the air over a 60-foot-long pirate ship. Sword fighting and rope sliding will thrill and excite festival-goers before the performers jump and slide their way onto the Skull and Crossbones Wheel of Death—a giant 30-foot rotating wheel that spins as the pirates fight, walk, run and balance on the set.

Other must-see street performers include illusionist Billy Kidd from London, England, a versatile performer and magician. Circus acts and comedy collide with Cate Great’s balancing acts. Pogo Fred will be on hand to show off some of his Guinness World Record pogo jump accomplishments.

The Red Trousers Show featuring David Graham and Tobin Renwick combines balancing, acrobatics, and juggling. Wacky Chad’s show is just that: wacky. Wacky Chad mixes unicycle skills with comedy for a good time for everyone.

Make sure the kids get a picture with Big Bee, the Transforming Robot Car. Big Bee is an actual moving Camero that transforms into a 15-foot giant robot. Also, bring the children to visit the Kidz Zone and the LEGOLAND Discovery Center.

Another favorite of the Main Street Festival is the Ferris Wheel.

“It’s been over two years since the big Ferris Wheel was at Main Street Fest, so families can rise once again to see soaring views of Lake Grapevine—and then stroll the midway for carnival games!” Co-chair of Main Street Fest René Herndon told The Dallas Express.

There will also be “street stages” for music fans along Main Street, with live rock and country bands performing. Mr. Inez, The Zack King Band, MoJo Brothers, and Texas singer-songwriter Jon Christopher Davis will play. Kerri Lick, an Americana and Folk singer, and the I-20 Committee will also play.

The Trinity Metro TexRail is a hassle-free transportation option for festival-goers. Free parking is available at any TexRail location. Riders should disembark at the Grapevine/Main Street station to get to the festival. A $2 discount to the Main Street Fest is available with proof of ridership.

There will be complimentary parking and shuttles at Grapevine Mills Outlet Mall and Grapevine Public Library for those who drive to the festival.

Admission to the Grapevine Main Street Fest is $9.00 for adults and children over 6 and $5 for seniors. Weekend passes are $20.00. For more information, visit https://www.grapevinetexasusa.com.

“The 38th Annual Main Street Fest, presented by Bank of the West, is back in full swing!
