The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden is hosting its 18th annual Autumn at the Arboretum event from September 16 through November 5.

This year’s theme is “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” featuring the Peanuts gang.

Autumn at the Arboretum is one of Dallas’ annual fall festivals. It features a pumpkin village filled with houses and other pieces made from over 100,000 pumpkins, gourds, and squash from Floydada, Texas — the pumpkin capital of Texas.

Fodor’s Travel calls the event “One of America’s Best Pumpkin Festivals,” according to the Dallas Arboretum’s website.

The famous 1966 autumn special that serves as this year’s theme showcased Charlie Brown and the rest of the Peanuts gang going trick-or-treating while Linus sits in a pumpkin patch, waiting for the Great Pumpkin, who he believes brings presents to all good girls and boys on the night of Halloween.

The beloved cartoon characters and a maze designed for young visitors will be ever-present throughout the pumpkin village. Both will feature Snoopy and Woodstock, Linus, Lucy, and, of course, Charlie Brown, among others. The Great Pumpkin will be located within the maze, according to NBC 5 DFW.

This year’s festival is sponsored by Reliant Energy. It will also include 150,000 fall-blooming flowers and plants and programs that include musical performances, classes, and other events for adults and children.
