A quiet little café has opened on Greenville Avenue, and according to Eater Dallas, it is the most charming spot in the area. Next to Sister, you will find Café Duro, known for its house blend coffee that can be purchased in bags or enjoyed by the cup while sitting at one of the outdoor tables.

The coffee house is the brainchild of design masters Benji Homsey, Chas Martin, Corbin See, and Ross See, who also brought Dallas hotspots The Charles, Bar Charles, and Sister to life.

“Like all of our designs and concepts, Café Duro is intended to be a very voyeuristic experience,” said Corbin See, principal and partner at Sees Design.

The atmosphere has an “Italian-ish” feel to it. Some of the dishes available include paninis, pizzitas, pickled blueberry danishes, olive oil coffee cakes, and a breakfast polenta cup with meatballs and jalapeños.

In addition to the pastries, homemade pasta, sauces, and bottles of wine are available to enjoy in the café or to-go.

“This year is a big year for our Duro Hospitality team,” Benji Homsey told CraveDFW. “The opening of Café Duro marks the rapid expansion of our footprint in Dallas. We strive to be thoughtful and intentional in the way guests experience Café Duro. Our Greenville Avenue concepts are unlike any others in Dallas; we’re proud to break the mold and are looking forward to seeing Dallasites’ reaction to our vision.”

Described as a “nightly eatery,” The Charles is “where Italian design and cuisine are interpreted through a Texas lens.”

Bar Charles is an extension of The Charles. It is a chic and sexy neighborhood lounge that serves well-thought-out drinks that complete the dining experience.

Sister took over the location of the famed Grape, which was a Dallas icon for over 40 years. Wood-grilled meats and fish, fresh pasta prepared daily, and Mediterranean-inspired dishes are all part of the menu at this neighborhood restaurant. Sister has the ambiance of a family-run trattoria that feels like the local hangout where guests can rest and unwind daily.

While Café Duro’s website is still in the works, you can see the inspiration behind all Duro Hospitality’s eateries on its Instagram. For an up-close and personal look at Café Duro, visit 2804 Greenville Ave daily from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
