30,000 pounds of smoked meat was cooked at BBQ Fest at AT&T Stadium in Arlington over the weekend, showcasing some of the best BBQ from fellow Texans and other states.

“This is our first year out here at the Miller LiteHouse at AT&T stadium. We’ve got 12 world-class pitmasters from all over the country, six local folks from all around Texas, and six other teams from all around the country throughout the weekend,” said Brady Archer, director of guest experience and event programming, speaking to The Dallas Express.

“We’ve got live music demonstrations, Matt Pittman from Meat Church BBQ and chef Jay Rob doing demos with some of their friends and some of our other pitmasters all weekend long and tons of activities for the whole entire family and more food than you could ever eat in a million sittings,” Archer explained.

BBQ Fest provided a fun and tasty Saturday for people of all ages; a fun, family-friendly event with live musical entertainment from musicians such as Wichita Run, Tin & Tonic, Honey Made, Lara Latin, The Buffalo Ruckus, and Tom Sless.

Sunday was the last day of BBQ Fest at AT&T Stadium, and the musical entertainment for the day was Randy McGill & Eclectic, the Squeezebox Bandits, and Mitchell Ferguson.

When The Dallas Express walked into the Miller Litehouse at AT&T Stadium, the air was filled with the unmistakable aroma of smoked brisket and ribs.

“We’ve been doing the Q BBQ fest in Denver, Kansas City, Saint Louis, and Jacksonville since 2015,” said Archer. “It’s just such a family-friendly event that brings out some world-class BBQ, and I’m so happy to bring it to Texas finally,” Archer explained.

“I love the off-the-wall stuff that some of our pitmasters put together. We’ve got some dinosaur ribs, some bison ribs, some beef ribs, those giant ones. Those are always fun.”
