Texas Health is a leader in the North Texas healthcare market, according to an annual report by U.S. News & World Report.

Three Texas Health Resources hospitals made it into the 33rd annual 2022-2023 Best Hospitals report. These included Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas ranked third; Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Southwest Fort Worth, ranked fifth; and Texas Health Harris Methodist Fort Worth, ranked eighth.

The annual report was intended to give patients and their doctors the ability to make informed decisions about where to receive quality care.

Barclay Berdan, FACHE, CEO of Texas Health Resources, said though the healthcare industry was rocked by a difficult two-and-a-half years, the industry’s commitment to caring for patients never wavered. He claimed Texas Health provided compassionate care “for all stages of life” through an “array of hospital-based specialties.”

According to the report, the Texas Health system was rated highest in consumer care in a 16-county service area.

Fulfilling the hospital’s mission has led to many “investments in growth,” said the report. Texas Health had nearly 400 locations but also offered virtual and in-home services.

Winjie Miao, senior executive vice president and COO of Texas Health Resources, welcomes U.S. News & World Report’s recognition of Texas Health’s work. “We are working every day to improve the health of the people in the communities we are so privileged to serve,” she said.

The report by U.S. News factored in a hospital’s performance based on qualifications like survival rates, complication rates, patient experience, and level of nursing care. The report sourced data from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, the American Hospital Association, professional organizations, and medical specialists.
