Young children and toddlers are apparently at risk of seizures after receiving the COVID-19 vaccine, according to a newly released study by the Food and Drug Administration.
The study’s findings concluded, “In this self-controlled case series that included participants aged 2-5 years from three commercial insurance databases, the incidence rate ratio of febrile seizures was significantly elevated in the 0-1 days following mRNA-1273 administration. Absolute risk was small.”
It noted that “the incidence of febrile seizures was elevated immediately following vaccination with the monovalent mRNA-1273 COVID-19 vaccine in children aged 2-5 years. Based on the current body of evidence, the safety profile of monovalent mRNA vaccines remains favorable for use in young children.”
Last year, the CDC added the COVID-19 vaccine to the routine childhood immunization schedule, according to the Gateway Pundit.
Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. claimed the addition to the immunization schedule had to do with shielding pharmaceutical companies.
“They know this is going to kill and injure a huge number of children. But they need to do it, for the liability protection,” Kennedy posted on X in 2022.
The National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 states that vaccine providers will not be liable for any injuries.
“Provides that no vaccine manufacturer shall be liable in a civil action for damages arising from a vaccine-related injury or death: (1) resulting from unavoidable side effects; or (2) solely due to the manufacturer’s failure to provide direct warnings. Provides that a manufacturer may be held liable where: (1) such manufacturer engaged in the fraudulent or intentional withholding of information; or (2) such manufacturer failed to exercise due care. Permits punitive damages in such civil actions under certain circumstances,” the act reads, per Congress.gov.
Researchers also found that children experienced a 2.5-fold increase in febrile seizures within 24 hours of receiving the Moderna vaccine compared to the same grouping between eight and 63 days after the vaccination. Furthermore, per the study, there were 88 febrile seizures after the Pfizer vaccination, reported The Gateway Pundit.
The CDC recently downgraded the severity of COVID-19 and lowered it to a common respiratory viral illness along with the flu and RSV. However, the CDC still urges people to get vaccinated to avoid “serious illness, hospitalization, and death,” per the CDC press release.
