A new telehealth program is now live in Paradise, Texas, marking a significant milestone in the effort to expand access to medical care in rural areas of the state.

The service, Tap Telehealth, is offered by MD Health Pathways as part of the company’s broader initiative to bring virtual healthcare to communities where seeing a doctor can mean long waits, long drives, or both. With just an internet connection, residents can now connect with licensed medical providers for routine consultations and care.

“We’re proud to bring Tap Telehealth to Paradise,” said Dr. Dirk Perritt, CEO of MD Health Pathways, in a release. “This launch represents a significant step toward making healthcare more accessible and convenient for families, while also strengthening the community’s overall health infrastructure.”

Local officials say the program could reduce the burden on emergency services by offering an alternative for non-urgent issues that might otherwise end up in the ER.

The innovative services provided by MD Health Pathways make a very interesting addition to the open market,” said Paradise City Administrator Chance Willeford in a release. “The City of Paradise is pleased to play a part in making it possible for our residents to shop for medical care that suits their personal needs at the lowest prices available.”

Residents will receive informational materials as part of a community outreach effort. Use of the program is voluntary and designed to be easy for families to adopt.

MD Health Pathways positions Tap Telehealth as a key tool in reshaping healthcare, offering fast, accessible care that aims to meet the needs of communities like Paradise conveniently and affordably.
