Since 1991, the Dallas-based National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) has supported many thousands of cancer survivors, delivered millions of public education resources, and reached out to hundreds of community partners to bring awareness to ovarian cancer.

NOCC advocates for ovarian cancer patients, survivors, caregivers, and their families. The organization reaffirms the support and education created during the last thirty years in every community, empowering every woman to advocate for her health.

At the time of diagnosis, ovarian cancer patients, their caregivers, and family members are confronted with the intimidating task of learning about the disease while making critical decisions about their health.

The You and Ovarian Cancer – A Lively Guide for NOCC Patients program is the first of two new programs. It has been developed in conjunction with Mechanisms in Medicine to deliver evidence-based, user friendly, credible education about ovarian cancer.

This highly visual resource aims to provide the education, awareness, and skills required for people to make educated health decisions with their treatment team.

Fully understanding the financial burden a diagnosis of ovarian cancer can impose on an individual at home and their family, the organization created a second program to address this.

The NOCC Financial Assistance Program was developed in conjunction with the Patient Advocate Foundation to assist patients in meeting non-medical expenditures, which will reduce the financial barriers to diagnosis and treatment adherence.

The purpose of this program is to encourage compliance with treatment for enhanced quality of life and clinical trial participation, which will help advance ovarian cancer research.
