A voluntary recall has been issued for Gerber baby formula after a potentially dangerous bacteria was found.

Gerber Good Start baby formulas were voluntarily recalled by Perrigo, including powdered infant formula in 12.4 ounces, 19.4 ounces, and 30.6 ounces. The contaminated baby formula was produced at a factory in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.

The formula products were potentially tainted by the Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria, which can cause, among other things, diarrhea as well as urinary tract infections. The bacteria is potentially deadly for infants.

The symptoms of an infection of Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria start with a fever but can quickly progress toward low energy and increased crying, reported CBS News. Usually, these symptoms are accompanied by poor feeding.

Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria is the same type of bacteria that led to a recall of Enfamil formulas in February, as reported by The Dallas Express.

Previous to that was a recall of infant formula manufactured by Abbott Nutrition due to concerns about the Cronobacter sakazakii bacteria. Four infants who ingested Abbott’s formula became ill, two of whom allegedly died from the bacteria. Another seven infant deaths were subsequently reported. However, there is no conclusive evidence definitively linking the deaths to the formula.

The affected products would have been purchased after March 5. Consumers should look for the following lot codes and “use by” dates, which can be found on the bottom of the packaging:
