Fifty-three nutritional and beverage items are being voluntarily recalled by Lyons Magnus LLC because of worries about possible microbial contamination, including from the organism Cronobacter sakazakii, according to an announcement from the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall includes brands such as Lyons, Premier Protein, Glucerna, Aloha, Intelligentsia, Kate Farms, Oatly, and several others. The products did not adhere to commercial sterility requirements, according to a preliminary root cause investigation.

Infant products are not included on the list of recalled products.

Consumers should refer to the top of the carton for individual cartons or the side of the case for multi-carton cases to find the Lot Code and Best By Date.

Although Cronobacter sakazakii infections are infrequent, they can commonly cause symptoms of fever, vomiting, and urinary tract infections. However, populations who are immunocompromised can be more prone to infection.

There have not been any reports of illnesses or complaints linked to these products to date. Anyone with a recalled product in their possession should throw it away immediately or return it to the store where it was purchased for a refund.

Customers with inquiries can reach the Lyons Recall Support Center 24/7 at 1-800-627-0557 or online.
