Children’s Medical Center Dallas, a leading pediatric health care facility in North Texas, has been recognized as one of the nation’s best pediatric hospitals.

The annual U.S. News & World Report ranked Children’s Medical Center Dallas a 10. As the only hospital in North Texas ranked in all ten pediatric specialties, the report bases its rankings on patient treatment outcomes, clinical resources, and compliance with best practices.

“In a year of immense challenges in the health care industry, we are incredibly humbled and honored to receive this recognition from U.S. News & World Report,” said Christopher J. Durovich, president and chief executive officer at Children’s Health. “To be ranked in 10 out of 10 pediatric specialties is a true testament to the work by our team and partners at UT Southwestern Medical Center to ensure the highest quality of care to our patients and their families, regardless of the circumstances.”

In addition to the overall ranking, the annual findings are divided into specific categories. Here is how Children’s Health finished:

  • Cancer: No. 22
  • Cardiology and heart surgery: No. 10
  • Diabetes and endocrinology: No. 22
  • Gastroenterology and gastrointestinal surgery: No. 7
  • Neonatology: No. 40

  • Neurology and neurosurgery: No. 18
  • Orthopedics: No. 3
