The Texas Attorney General’s Office has announced that AG Ken Paxton has filed another lawsuit against vaccine and mask mandates. This most recent suit aims to prevent the implementation of the mandate for all staff and volunteers at Head Start programs.

The mandate would also require all children two years and older who attend the program to wear masks. Any person entering the Head Start facility to pick up or drop off children would likewise be required to mask up.

Paxton said in a statement, “I will not allow Texans to be coerced into getting a vaccine because the federal government is giving them an ultimatum to choose between their health or their child’s preschool education. The freedom and liberty of all Americans is at stake now and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”

The lawsuit makes the fourth one to defy the Biden Administration vaccine mandates. Attorney General Paxton and other attorneys general have challenged three previous federal vaccine mandates.
