“Grab your Mickey ears and get ready for non-stop fun when 50 of your favorite Disney friends come to life through world-class ice skating,” the website for Disney on Ice states.
Disney on Ice is presenting the theme, Let’s Celebrate, at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center. The venue is located at 200 East Stacy Road in Allen. The performance on ice is being held over Thanksgiving weekend.
Tickets are still available for all eight showtimes at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, even though tickets have been on sale since September 28th.
The first performance is on Wednesday, November 24th at 7:30 pm. Then, on Friday, November 26th, there are three different showtimes: 11:30 am, 3:30 pm, and 7:30 pm. On Saturday, November 27th, the showtimes are at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The last two shows in Allen are on Sunday, November 28th at 12:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
Let’s Celebrate brings entertainment to families by featuring Disney characters from Toy Story 4, Frozen, The Lion King, and many more from classic and modern Disney movies. Toy Story 4 showcases Forky learning how to be a toy. His friends, Woody, Buzz, and Jessie work together to help him on his learning mission.
Families can enjoy singing along to their favorite songs from Frozen, with Elsa as the guide. Timon and Pumbaa from The Lion King will be skating around singing “Hakuna Matata” and the whole show will be hosted by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.
According to the website for the Credit Union of Texas Event Center, the show on ice presents fourteen stories that “an international team of award-winning figure skaters” will be dressed to impress on the ice skating rink.
The show will have more than thirty songs and Disney stars including Donald Duck, Goofy, Cinderella, Rapunzel, Ariel, Snow White, Tiana, Anna, Olaf, Dory, Aladdin, Belle, and the Beast.
The choreography will be energetic and the set will look as if you are in each Disney story that is being told.
Tickets start at thirty-three dollars per person and all people two years old and above must have a purchased ticket. According to The Dallas Morning News, the event center “cautions against purchasing tickets from third-party websites and scalpers because those tickets will not guarantee entry to the venue.”
Credit Union of Texas Event Center will be running at full capacity for all eight shows. Although face masks are not required, the venue is encouraging guests to wear them, regardless of the person’s COVID-19 vaccination status.
Guests that are attending the Let’s Celebrate show can purchase souvenirs online before they go to the venue for the event. Once the guest is at the venue, the purchased souvenirs can be picked up at the designated stations during the show.
According to the venue’s website, food and beverages are available to purchase within the event center. The food stands include La Cantina Roja, Allen Station Grill, Eb’s BBQ, All American Dog, Cicis Pizza, Dippin’ Dots, Nutty Bavarian/Smoothery, Nestle Toll House Cafe, Popcorn Stand, Destination Bar, Southside Bar, and Portable Beverage Stands.
