She has experience in many areas and locations. Plastic Surgery, Fertility, Operating Room, Vascular and Interventional, and Family Medicine are among her list of experiences. She has practiced in Texas, California, Missouri, Colorado, and Peru.
Lauren shared with Dallas Express that she created a team of nurses and nurse practitioners during the COVID-19 pandemic and became the founder of COVID Concierge 214, where they traveled to Park Cities to provide COVID-19 testing for the community.
Shayla Dunlap grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area and first attended Dallas Baptist University to gain a BS in Biology with a minor in Psychology. She then earned her BS in Nursing at Baylor University.
She told Dallas Express that after she graduated, she worked at Highland Park High School as their school nurse. Shayla also worked in downtown Dallas at Baylor University Medical Center, providing services in Medical-Surgical and Ortho-Trauma.
At the University of Texas at Arlington, she received a degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Shayla said she “has been certified as a UT Southwestern Stop the Bleed trainer, Red Cross CPR instructor, and certified in Cosmetic Injections (Botox, Dysport, and Dermal Fillers).
When speaking with Dallas Express, Lauren and Shayla shared that “their unique experiences allow them to provide an exceptional service for which they call Beauty and the Basics; Beauty being the cosmetic side of the business and Basics being the basic healthcare needs.”

Clinic Concierge allows patients to have same-day appointments due to the clinic reserving time slots. The advantage this clinic has is the privilege to avoid waiting room times to be seen. They will travel to a patient’s home, an office, or the hotel a person is staying. Telehealth is also available. They are open for patient care every day from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. but are flexible if a patient needs care earlier or after those hours.
They can serve more than one family member during the appointment for the same concierge fee per location. Individual treatments will be charged accordingly per person. Memberships are also available and provide a discount if enrolled for monthly services.
