A man from Fort Worth was sentenced to 35 years in federal prison for the sexual abuse of a 7-year-old girl.
The U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas announced that Sherman Moore pleaded guilty to sexual exploitation of children in November 2021.
According to court documents, Moore confessed to enticing the child into sexually explicit conduct to record a video of her.
On September 7, 2019, Moore admittedly videotaped the girl as she walked across her mother’s bed in her Fort Worth home. The video focused on the girl’s genitals.
Moore uploaded the video to his Google Drive after recording it.
The Fort Worth Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations’ Fort Worth Field Division investigated this case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Aisha Saleem worked as a prosecutor in the case.
