Not only is the upcoming weekend expected to be sunny and beautiful, it is also Labor Day weekend, which means many folks have an extra day to soak up the sunshine and enjoy some of the events happening around town.

Here are a few of the celebrations happening around Dallas and Fort-Worth this weekend.

Legacy Hall Luau

Legacy Hall in Plano is hosting an outdoor luau and pig roast on Sunday, Sept. 5th starting at 2 pm. In addition to hula and fire dancers, themed cocktails, and the always popular limbo competition, Dock Local will be providing a traditional Kalua-style roast pig. There will also be live music and the option to get a delicious plate of takeout ($20) from Dock Locals. This is a family-friendly event, but it is recommended that you purchase your tickets in advance.
