The AutoZone located at 8636 South Hulen Street in Fort Worth was the scene of a shooting on Sunday, November 7, around 11:00 in the morning.

The man who was shot is in the hospital and is listed in critical condition. This is the second reported shooting at this location within the past two years.   

Officer Tracy Carter is a spokesman for the Fort Worth police department. Carter stated that the man “threatened an AutoZone employee while pretending to have a gun, then was shot by the employee,” according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

Carter said that the AutoZone employee is “being cooperative in the investigation.”  

The employee of AutoZone stated that the man appeared “irate and patted himself as if he had a weapon,” the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.   

The investigation is still ongoing, and according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, “Police did not announce any charges or indicated whether they plan to pursue any.”  

It is unclear who was involved and whether this incident happened in the actual store or on the premises.
